The Minimum Wage Determination Commission Chairman, Tahir Serhat, said in a statement following the meeting that the minimum wage was set at 43 thousand 469 TL and 37 thousand 818 TL in gross, representing a 7.5 percent rise.

According to Serhat, the workers’ representatives cast “no votes” and the minimum wage was approved by a majority of ballots. Serhat gave information about the minimum wage rates, stating that they were 250.78 TL per hour, 2,626 TL per day, and 10,31.30 TL per week that were decided.
