As of January 1, 2025, the minimum salary will be 250.78 TL per hour, 2.006.26 TL per day, 10.031.30 TL per week, and 43.469.00 TL per month, according to the Ministry of Labor and Social Security’s final decision.

Tahir Serhat, the undersecretary of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, declared that the Ministry has begun a research to offer salary support to TRNC nationals who are employed at minimum wage, per Prime Minister Ünal Üstel directive.
During the discussion, the participants shared their opinions on how the minimum wage should be set and revisited the topic of minimum wage amount. Following the presentation of the parties’ views, the Minimum Wage was put to a vote. The employee side of the meeting left after the state side received five yes votes and the employer side received three yes votes.
With a majority of votes and the minimum salary, the proposal to apply these conditions to recruits between the ages of 15 and 17, who are legally considered apprentices, with a 30% discount was put to a vote.
