A serious motorcycle accident in [Lefkoşa] has led to one death and one injury. Police reports state that Fırat Atamtürk, 37, was driving a motorcycle (license plate ZD 122) north when he lost control while turning a left curve. The bike slid off the road to the right and hit the garden wall of a house.

Ali Minnos, 35, who was riding on the back of the motorcycle, died instantly. Atamtürk, the driver, survived with injuries and was rushed to Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital for care.

The Ministry of Health shared a heartfelt message after the accident, mourning the loss of Ali Minnos, who worked at the same hospital. In their statement, they said: “We are deeply saddened by the death of our colleague Ali Minnos in this tragic accident. We send our deepest sympathies to his family, friends, and all healthcare workers. May he rest in peace.”

Police are still investigating how the crash happened.
