Nikos Christodulidis, the president of the Republic of Cyprus, said he submitted an eight-item proposal package at the leaders’ meeting this morning in a statement at the Greek Presidential Palace.

The Secretary General and an Advisory Committee, Youth Technical Committee, welcomed this package, which includes the crossing points and other ideas discussed in the meeting with the UN Secretary General in New York last October, the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodulidis, reminded everyone.

He also mentioned that he made proposals to establish the Truth Committee. President Ersin Tatar, according to Christodulilidis, “demanded a time” and was not prepared to make a choice. We will meet again when he is ready, and the negotiators will continue their discussions.

The suggestion package is for the benefit of both Greek and Turkish Cypriots, and Hristodulidis emphasized that it should be fully embraced, saying, “This package is either all or nothing.” Hristodulidis mentioned Tatar’s negative attitude towards the Kiracıköy and Erenköy transit routes, stating, “He only proposed a crossing point between Akıncılar and Limya.” Tatar wasn’t ready to make a choice, but I stated that I didn’t view it adversely. “If it was, we could have made explanations,” he stated.
