The Civil Aviation Department (under the Ministry of Public Works and Transportation) has announced temporary flight restrictions at Ercan Airport from April 29 to May 5, 2024, due to the TEKNOFEST event.

A special notice (called a NOTAM) has been issued to pilots, limiting regular air traffic during specific hours each day:

• 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
• 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM
• 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Only planes or helicopters participating in TEKNOFEST will be allowed to fly during these times. However, drone operators, paragliders, and paramotor pilots can fly outside the restricted hours if they get approval first from the Air Traffic Control Branch Directorate.
