At approximately 15:20 today, for an unknown reason, a fire started in the abandoned five-room adobe house on Hurmalı Street in Meriç.

Police, firefighters, and teams from the Ercan Meydan Fire Department, along with a water tanker from the Değirmenlik-Akıncılar Municipality, intervened to put out the fire.

Second-hand, disused home objects and the house’s stalls were damaged by the fire, according to information provided by the Police Press Office. The inquiry is still ongoing.
